Kim Kern LMSW, ACSW, CAADC, CCS-M

Kim is our Site Supervisor and has extensive experience treating a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues including mood disorders, co-dependency and co-occurring disorders. She uses cognitive behavioral strategies with an emphasis on wellness and lifestyle balancing. She enjoys working with people of all ages to identify and resolve barriers in their life and develop the skills necessary to meet their full potential.

Don Wojewoda MA, LPC

Don enjoys working with all ages and specifically emphasizes and supports others in creating balance emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Don uses various strategies such as Hypnosis and the Emotional Freedom technique to try and address core issues which may contribute to unwanted symptoms.

Dustin Weidman BS, DP-C

Dustin has experience working with childhood autism as a Behavior Technician, as well as a school counselor in a local elementary school. As a combat veteran, he has experience with both the symptoms and treatments of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He currently holds two bachelor’s degrees in Education and Psychology; and is pursuing a graduate degree in professional counseling. Upon completing his graduate degree, he is interested in working with veterans from the Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac County as well as with students who are struggling with academics and behavior in school.

Eric Read LMSW

Eric Read has been in practice as a Master Social Worker since 2013 and has worked with a variety of ages and backgrounds of people. Eric enjoys working with people to find a “life worth living”. Eric enjoys using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work with clients. Eric  has experience in co-occurring mental health and substance abuse concerns as well as supporting those working through physical disability acceptance.

Kenneth Patriquin MS, LPC, CCSOTS, CAADC

Kenneth has experience using cognitive behavior/reality based treatment and group processing methods to treat the variety of issues that affect families, teens, children, abuse victims and abusers. He is passionate about helping those caught in the abuse or addictive patterns to get freedom and healing. Kenneth has experience in treating both mental health and substance abuse issues. He works well with adults, children and families. Kenneth is also credentialed and certified to work with those actively involved in the criminal justice system including those offenders returning to the community from jail or prison. He has had many years of experience working with teens. Kenneth is very interested in developing a more comprehensive program of dealing with those trapped in sexually addictive/abusive patterns.

Madeline Dooley DP-C

Madeline has experience working with people who have substance abuse disorders and criminal backgrounds. She has experience working with men and women, as well as adolescents.

Michelle Schmitzer MA, LPC

Michelle has experience working with people who have experienced domestic and sexual violence, particularly women. She also has experience working with people who have co-occurring disorders and criminal backgrounds. Michelle is an empowerment perspective counselor who is very interested in assisting people experience healthy relationships and achieve emotional self sufficiency.
