Shana is a compassionate mental health professional known for her honest, down-to-earth approach. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from Saginaw Valley State University, where she completed the Advanced Standing Program, and is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW). She is also credentialed as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Development Plan (CADC-DP).
Shana provides therapy to both adolescents and adults, as well as couples, using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, substance use, grief and loss, childhood and adult trauma, OCD, eating disorders, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Shana works from a strengths-based and person-centered perspective, meeting clients where they are and helping them build insight, emotional resilience, and healthier coping strategies. Her goal is to support clients in creating lasting, meaningful change in a way that feels real and sustainable.
